Festive ‘pop up’ Art Market

Great opportunity for artists

Footprint Gallery did not have any bookings at the end of the year, so rather than have an empty gallery, the management team decided to offer artists the opportunity to use the gallery. The offer was to display up to 6 pieces of their work, free of charge, but paying a very small commission on any sales. A total of 24 artists came forward to take advantage of this super offer, resulting in an exciting and eclectic mix of artwork on the gallery walls. During early December we added a Festive Makers Market for 3 days which also proved very popular. Plans are afoot to expand on this for next year with a much larger market so do keep watching for details. Happily many artists sold work during the show and appreciated the exhibiting opportunity. Footprint does not have any external funding so the commission income generated from sales in  was much appreciated, adding to the Footprint coffers. A new pop up Art Market will open on 1st February 2024 for 6 weeks.
